Pastor Kevin E. Stafford was born in Los Angeles, CA to Dr. &
Mrs. E.E. Stafford. Kevin accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior
in 1978. He was baptized by his father at the Paradise Baptist
Church of Los Angeles in the same year.
Pastor Stafford accepted his call to preach the Gospel of Jesus
in November 1990. He was licensed in December of 1990 and served
as Associate Minister at Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church
under his father, Dr. E.E. Stafford.
Pastor Stafford received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from
Chapman University in Orange, CA. He received his Master of
Divinity degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling, from
Interdenominational Theological Center (Morehouse School of
Religion) in Atlanta, Georgia. He is presently in the final
stage of his Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Skills for
the 21st Century from the Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary of
South Hamilton, Massachusetts, needing only to complete his
thesis project.
Prior to arriving here with us, Pastor Stafford served for a
season as Youth Pastor at the Orchard Knob Baptist Church of
Chattanooga, Tennessee. He served as Senior Pastor of the
Greater Morning Star Baptist Church of Mt. Clemens, Michigan. He
served as the Assistant Pastor of the Mt. Tabor Missionary
Baptist
Church of Los Angeles, CA until accepting the call to the Senior
Pastorate of Zion Baptist Evangelistic Temple and coming to us
on February 16, 2003.
Pastor Stafford is married to the lovely Lady Toykia Lynn
Stafford. They are proud parents of Anthony, who is 14 years
old, Imani, who is 8 and Takenya who is 5 months old today.
Evorn, Catherine, Noel, Alberta, Bridget, Tyrone, De Wayne,
Trisha and Tenisha are just a few of the many close family
members who are relatives of our pastoral family.
